The Public Health Agency of Canada released on November 9 Exploring the Link Between Work-Life Conflict and Demands on Canada's Health Care System by Chris Higgins, Linda Duxbury and Karen Johnson. The study examines how employees perceive their health, measures visits to physicians, health care professionals and hospitals, and measures use of prescription drugs. The study analyzes the links between these indicators and work-life conflict. Of the 31,571 working people surveyed, 58 % reported high levels of role overload, with an additional 30 % reporting more moderate levels.
